This is one of those 'playing around in the studio' photos. I shot it just a few days ago. A sliver of sun was coming in through the window in my studio, creating a patch of light on my desk. I grabbed an old photograph and an old drawer knob made of clear plastic that looks like a faceted sphere, and shot the light passing through the knob onto the photo.
