Home For The Holiday

I spent Thanksgiving weekend at my Mom's in Michigan, and as I often do, spent some time wandering around her yard shooting photos. I'll post some over the next few days.

Autumn Panorama

Shot a few weeks ago in the Dan Ryan Woods, in southwest Chicago.
I've been asked why I don't use Photoshop to seamlessly stitch together the photos in these panoramas. My answer: Because I like them like this. The perspective shifts and out of sync areas are interesting to me. I find seamless panoramas boring.

Factory

I was driving around, looking for interesting things to shoot a couple of years ago, and happened upon this old abandoned factory on the far south side of Chicago.  I shot there a couple of times a few months apart, and it was obvious then that it was in the process of being demolished. It's now a vacant lot.

Jewelry, Stamps, Taxidermy

Shot this outside of a combination nutritional supplement/antique store a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, the store was closed, so I wasn't able to go in. Looked interesting, however.
