The title says it all. I post an original photo (nearly) every day, and write a few comments on each one. They're not all great photos, and they don't all show perfect photographic technique (I'm way too fond of chance and happy accidents to always aim for perfection). I hope they are all interesting.

Mid-Century Signage
I love mid-century design and architecture, and I especially love when I come across it still in use. I've driven by this sign, on Cicero Avenue at about 98th street in Oak Lawn, IL many times, and every time, I've thought that I need to go shoot photos of it. I finally got around to it a couple of weeks ago. This was shot using my reverse-lems Kodak Brownie camera. I also shot it with infrared film in my old 35mm SLR camera. Maybe I'll post that one soon.

Aslan?
Shot in a Blue Island, IL store window a couple of weeks ago.
Here's the same scene, shot with my reversed-lens Brownie camera:

Cool Window
I shot this at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing in Washington, DC a few years ago. This was in the room where you wait to take the tour of the facility (which was more interesting than I expected). Funny thing-for a place that has tight security and accounts for every dollar that passes through there, they keep some sloppy records. I bought a t shirt and a couple other items in the gift shop, and payed with a credit card, but the charge never showed up on my credit card statement. Thanks, US taxpayers, for buying me a t shirt!

Skyline
I made this panorama in Ping Tom park in Chicago's Chinatown a couple of years ago. It's the same general area where I was busted for legally shooting photos last September.

Harry
Made this collage yesterday. It looks a little odd, I know, but it's part of a series, and makes more sense in that context.

Starburst
Here's another recent shot made with my Reversed-lens Brownie camera. This is a bowling alley in Evergreen Park, IL. I love mid-century architecture!

Headless
I've been scanning some negatives shot with my reversed lens Kodak Brownie camera this weekend. This one was shot about a week and a half ago in Blue Island, IL. I've recently discovered that shooting through store windows with that camera can yield interesting results.

Window Frost
It's supposed to be a baking hot day tomorrow here in Chicago. Enjoy this photo of frost on a window to help keep you cool.

Tiled Steps Panorama
I shot this panorama in San Francisco in 2006. This is near 16th and Moraga streets in the Sunset district. At 16th St., Moraga becomes a staircase and climbs a steep hill for a block. A few years ago, neighborhood residents organized a project to create a mosaic tile running up the staircase.
This was shot near the top of the staircase, with the view of the Sunset district and the Pacific ocean in the distance. Click on the photo to see a larger version. Click on the link to see a view of the tiled steps that shows the tile work better than this panorama does.

Window Panties
I go shooting in Blue Island, IL a few times a year. It's close to home, and almost always has something interesting, like little girl's dresses, panties and arm-length gloves in a shop window display.

Headless
I don't really remember shooting this photo, but I think it was over Spring break last March. It was unseasonably warm, and I was riding my bike a lot. I remember throwing a camera into my bike bag, but I don't remember actually taking any photos.
