The title says it all. I post an original photo (nearly) every day, and write a few comments on each one. They're not all great photos, and they don't all show perfect photographic technique (I'm way too fond of chance and happy accidents to always aim for perfection). I hope they are all interesting.

Preserve
Shot this a couple of weeks ago while walking through a forest reserve, right when the recent (overly) warm spell was beginning in Chicago.

No Parking
Lovely old brick wall in Hyde Park. Shot just a couple of blocks from where yesterday's photo was taken, but about nine months earlier.

One More Abstract
Finishing up abstract week with this one, which I like, but I can't remember what it is or where I shot it.

Factory
This was shot a few years ago outside of an old, abandoned factory on the far south side of Chicago. The building is no longer there, the entire complex has been razed and is now an empty lot.

Weed Chair
Shot in my Mom's backyard with my Holga camera. Actually, it's probably not weeds, but dried flowers.

Lekker
Shot in a village whose name I can't recall, The Netherlands, 2005. The plywood maiden is eating raw salted herring, a traditional Dutch dish that I was repeatedly told Americans dislike. Imagine my surprise when I finally tried it and found it delicious. Erg lekker. It was about the only Dutch food that I actually liked.
