The title says it all. I post an original photo (nearly) every day, and write a few comments on each one. They're not all great photos, and they don't all show perfect photographic technique (I'm way too fond of chance and happy accidents to always aim for perfection). I hope they are all interesting.

Promontory Point
I'm on a roll with these panoramas. This one was shot in Chicago's Promontory Point, a lovely park on the Lake Michigan shore in the the Hyde Park neighborhood. Promontory Point is a wonderful place for a stroll, it offers great views of downtown, and on clear days you can see distant steel mills on the Indiana shore. And, it's not that far from President Obama's house (not that you can get close to it).
