The View

No, this post isn't about that shrill daytime talk show. This is the view from the tower of the De Young Museum in Golden Gate Park. The California Academy of Sciences designed by Renzo Piano is the building in the center of the photo. The green roof of that building is very cool. Here's a photo I shot there last year:

Fuzzy Flowers

Keeping the San Francisco photo theme going for the time being. These trees with the fuzzy red or pink flowers are pretty common in the city. I see them growing in sidewalk plantings in residential neighborhoods. I used to know what it's called, but can't remember now, and a quick web search didn't turn up anything.

Church and 17th

This is a photo panorama shot on the corner of Church and 17th streets in San Francisco.  There's nothing special about that particular corner, it's a typical intersection in that part of the city. I just happened to be there, the light was pretty, and the streetcar wires overhead were interesting.

Sunset In The Sunset

This photo was shot last Sunday at sunset on Ocean beach in San Francisco. Ocean Beach is San Francisco's Pacific Ocean shore, and runs along the Sunset and Richmond districts (and the western edge of Golden Gate Park).

I'm Home!

I've returned from my trip to San Francisco. I had a lovely time, as I always do when visiting there.  Here's a photo I shot last Monday night right after dinner in an oyster bar in the Castro.
I'm sure there will be more photos from this trip posted here over next few days.
