Snow Beries

Well, the forecast major storm turned out not to be so bad, although we did receive a few inches of snow today in Chicago. I braved the weather, not to shoot (this photo was shot a couple of years ago), but to go to the Chicago Cultural Center to hear Barbara Crane talk about her work.

Cows, Flowers

This is an odd photo, but I kind of like it. It looks a bit like a cow with too many legs. I shot this in the middle of nowhere in eastern Colorado in 1992, while driving around trying to get to the Pawnee Buttes.

Scene From An Imaginary Horror Film

Can't you see it? The sound of wind blowing through the trees, a child's voice slowly singing nursery rhymes, and this horse swing, swaying in the breeze in blurred motion.
A double exposure made with a Holga camera in my Mom's backyard.

North Beach Bathroom

This photo was shot with my crappy four-lens Nishika camera. It's the view out the bathroom window of my sister's old apartment in San Francisco. I like how the shampoo bottles mirror the San Fransisco skyline.

Text

I shot this a couple of weeks ago, while playing around in my studio. It's a page from a magazine, placed on a light table and shot with a macro lens.

Watching Paint Peel

Not the most exciting subject mater for a photo, but I like it anyway. I can't remember where I shot this, I think it might have been in Chicago's Hyde Park neighborhood.

Abandoned House

Here's another oldie, taken in 1988 or 1989. I shot this inside an abandoned house, about a mile from the house I grew up in in rural mid-Michigan. That's my cousin in the photo, we had gone to the house specifically to shoot some photos.
